We are an externally managed, non-diversified closed-end management investment company incorporated in Delaware on May 26, 2009, that has elected to be regulated as a business development company, or BDC, under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, or the 1940 Act. In addition, we have elected to be treated for tax purposes as a regulated investment company, or RIC, under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or the Code. On January 31, 2020, First Eagle Alternative Credit, LLC, formerly known as THL Credit Advisors LLC, our investment adviser (the Advisor), and First Eagle Investment Management, LLC (First Eagle) completed its acquisition of the Advisor (the Transaction) and, in conjunction with the completion of the Transaction, the Advisors name was changed to First Eagle Alternative Credit, LLC.
