The National Security Group, Inc. (the Company, NSEC, we, us, our), an insurance holding company, was incorporated in Delaware on March 20, 1990. Our common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol: NSEC. Pursuant to regulations of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), we are considered a Smaller Reporting Company as defined by SEC rules. We have elected to utilize an a la carte scaled disclosure which permits smaller reporting companies to elect to comply with scaled financial and non-financial disclosure requirements on an item by item basis. The most significant reporting difference permitted under the scaled disclosures, which we have utilized, is to include two years of audited financial statements.
