Amazon announced on Thursday its first branded TV sets with two versions, going on sale in October starting at $369.99.
Amazon will launch two versions of the TV sets—the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series and Amazon Fire TV 4-Series which will be available in different sizes.
The Amazon Fire TV Omni Series will be available in five sizes ranging from $409.99 to $1,099.99. The Omni Series includes features such as giving instructions to the TV without remote to play any TV show or movie, begin playing music, check the weather, control your smart home, view smart home cameras on your screen while watching TV, and more.
A webcam can also be added for video calls with new support for Zoom calls.
The Amazon Fire TV 4-Series will be available in three sizes starting at $369.99. The 4-Series TVs can be integrated with Alexa to play movies, TV shows or to check the weather as in any Fire TV device.
The TVs, though, do not support webcam for video calls. The 4-Series TVs support high dynamic range standards like HLG and HDR10 but do not offer Dolby Vision as in Omni Series TVs.
The Amazon TVs will be sold on the company’s website and through Best Buy.
