Russia targets Ukrainian defense using hypersonic missiles

The Russia Ukraine war has raged on for more than 25 days and to no avail. Death and destruction have ravaged the Ukrainian soil, but the world has lauded the strong defense put up by the Ukrainians, and keeping Russians on the edge.
In this scenario, Russia has resorted to more destructive weaponry. On Friday, the Russia’s Defense Ministry said that it had deployed “Kinzhal” (meaning “Dagger” in Russian) hypersonic aeroballistic missiles.
The Russian statement said that the attack was directed towards a large underground warehouse of Ukrainian missiles and aviation ammunition in Delyatin, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of western Ukraine.
CNBC reported that the same kind of missiles were used to destroy a large Ukrainian storage base for fuels and lubricants in the Mykolaiv region; Russia’s Defense Ministry said it was the main fuel supply base for Ukrainian armored vehicles in combat areas in southern Ukraine.
Hypersonic missiles move at five times the speed of sound – 6,174 kilometres per hour (3,836mph), gliding in the upper atmosphere and are highly manoeuvrable. This makes them far more dangerous as they give the target almost no warning and very less time to react.
