• There are reports that the number of casualties in Borodyanka could be significantly higher than in Bucha
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that more atrocities than Bucha are expected to be discovered in Borodyanka, a city near Kyiv.
In his address to the Ukrainian people, Zelenskyy said there are now reports that the number of casualties in Borodyanka and other liberated Ukrainian cities could be significantly higher.

Borodyanka is located 25 kilometers (16 miles) west of Bucha.
“We already have information that in Borodyanka and some other freed towns, the amount of victims can be even larger,” Zelenskyy said in a Telegram messenger.
“The occupiers will be held responsible. We are already doing everything as fast as we can to find all the Russian soldiers involved in these crimes,” he said.

Moreover, Zelenskyy has accused Russia of initiating an effort to hide proof of horrific war crimes perpetrated by its forces in seized territories.
Zelenskyy reports that Russian invaders created dozens of interviews re-edit records, and killed individuals in a way that made it appear as if they were killed by someone other than the Russians.
