Russia would most likely intensify their attacked ahead of Russia's annual Victory Day celebrations on May 9th, the British Defence Ministry said in its intelligence report.
“This could affect how quickly and forcefully they attempt to conduct operations in the run-up to this date,” MoD said.
Russian soldiers are currently moving forward from staging sites in the Donbas towards Kramatorsk, which is still being shelled by rockets.
May 9 is a big day in Russia since it commemorates the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany during World War II.
Meanwhile, “High levels of Russian air activity endure as Russia seeks to provide close air support to its offensive in eastern Ukraine, to suppress and destroy Ukrainian air defense capabilities,” the ministry said.
