SpaceX signed its first deal to use its Starlink satellite network in an air carrier to provide in-flight wireless internet, the company said on Thursday.
The aerospace company, owned by Tesla Inc (NYSE: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk, signed the deal with semi-private charter company JSX and involves equipping 100 airplanes with Starlink terminals.
The first Starlink-connected plane is expected to take flight by the end of this year.
