• The strike was carried out on the military infrastructure of Ukraine's armed forces
Russia's defense ministry said on Wednesday a submarine in the Black Sea fired two Kalibr cruise missiles against targets in Ukraine.
"The crew of a submarine of the Black Sea Fleet from the Black Sea carried out a salvo launch of two Caliber cruise missiles at designated ground targets on the territory of Ukraine," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The strike was carried out on the military infrastructure of Ukraine's armed forces, the ministry said.
The ministry released a video of the missiles being launched and stated that they had targeted unidentified ground targets, Interfax news agency reported.
Last month, Russia announced the use of submarine strikes in Ukraine as part of its self-declared "special military operation."
