Ukraine has completed the second part of the questionnaire for candidate nation status with the European Union.
On Monday, Zelenskyy said on his Telegram channel that he had shown the paper to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen via video call.
It is noted that Ukraine assessed the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with European legislation (acquis communautaire) in this document, and the answers to the second part of the questionnaire are approximately 4,000 pages long.
President Zelenskyy said the second section of the questionnaire was given to Matti Maasikas, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine
"I think these answers are also a small victory for our team. We are waiting for the consideration and conclusions of the European Commission. I would like these conclusions to be positive. And I would like these conclusions to be provided faster thanks to you,” the President of Ukraine said during the video conference.
Meanwhile, the European Commission is expected to make a judgment on Ukraine's bid for EU membership in June.
"I am very impressed with the speed with which you prepared the answers to our questionnaire. This will encourage the European Commission to work faster," said President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
