Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ: AMZN) launched the latest version of its Fire 7 tablet on Wednesday, with longer battery life than the predecessor.
The new tablet costs $59.99 and promises 40% longer battery life than the last version of Fire 7, for up to 10 hours of browsing.
The updated Fire 7 also has a 30% faster processor, the company said, but made no changes in the screen or camera.
The tablet has 16GB of storage on the base version, which can be expanded by adding your own memory card and comes with the more common USB-C port.
The new Fire 7, which comes in black, denim and rose colors, is available for preorder starting Wednesday and will begin shipping June 29.
Amazon also introduced a new version of Fire 7 Kids which has a starting price of $109.99 and is available starting June 29.
