President Zelenskyy says ‘it is hell’ in Donbas region as Russian attack intensifies
Ukraine’s President once again accused Russia of the genocide of the Ukrainian people
Russian forces have wrecked the eastern Donbas area, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address.
He also accused Moscow of carrying out reckless shelling as its attack intensified.
“In Donbas, the occupiers are trying to increase pressure. There's hell, and that's not an exaggeration,” Zelenskyy said.
“The bombing and shelling of other cities, the air and missile strikes of the Russian army - all this is not just hostilities during the war,” Ukraine’s President said.
“This is a deliberate and criminal attempt to kill as many Ukrainians as possible. Destroy as many houses, social facilities, and enterprises as possible.”
Zelenskyy once again accused Russia of “genocide of the Ukrainian people” for which the “occupiers will be brought to justice.”
