The New York Attorney General has been investigating Trump’s business

A US judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit by former President Donald Trump that asked New York Attorney General Letitia James to stop her investigation into Trump’s business.

US District Judge Brenda Sannes dismissed the lawsuit a day after a New York appeals court upheld subpoenas issued by James to Trump and two of his adult children.

“Frivolous lawsuits won’t stop us from completing our lawful, legitimate investigation,” James tweeted on Friday.

In December, Trump’s company Trump Organization sued James for allegedly violating the company’s rights with her investigation.

Trump had called James’ comments “derogatory” and said she was retaliating against Trump with her probe.
