Novavax gets the nod from FDA experts for Covid-19 vaccine

• The experts voted 21-0 with one abstention in favor of the vaccine

The US Food and Drug Administration’s committee of independent vaccine experts on Tuesday voted to recommend authorization of Novavax Inc’s (NASDAQ: NVAX) Covid-19 vaccine for adults.

The experts voted 21-0 with one abstention in favor of the vaccine for people aged 18 years and above.

The next step for the pharma company would be to get an authorization from the FDA which usually follows recommendations of its experts.
