Ukraine is doing everything it can to improve its electricity export capacity, says President
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the next winter in Ukraine will be “the most difficult of all the years of independence” adding that Kyiv and energy corporations have met to plan for the next winter.
Meanwhile, the issues of purchasing a sufficient amount of gas for the heating season, coal accumulation, and electricity production were discussed by Ukrainian ministries and energy companies.
The president said that “At this time, we will not be selling our gas and coal abroad. All domestic production will be directed to the internal needs of our citizens.”
Ukraine is doing everything it can to improve its electricity export capacity, according to Zelenskyy, and is working on rebuilding war-damaged thermal power facilities, combined heat and power plants, and boiler houses.
