France's President Emmanuel Macron has said Ukraine's leader will have to undertake negotiations with Russia “at some point to end the war.”
“The Ukrainian President and his officials will have to negotiate with Russia,” Macron said while on a visit to Romania and Moldova, Reuters reported.
Macron's remarks came during a three-day tour to Ukraine's eastern neighbors, including Moldova, before visiting Kyiv on Thursday with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, two diplomatic sources told Reuters.
Germany, France, and Italy are all in support of a negotiated truce between Ukraine and Russia, the report said.
