TikTok said on Friday it has completed moving US users’ data to servers at Oracle Corp (NYSE: ORCL), as the US raised concerns over data security on the Chinese app.
TikTok parent company ByteDance was asked by the US regulators under former President Donald Trump to divest TikTok over fears of transfer of US users’ data to Chinese government.
The order was, though, not enforced after Joe Biden became the President.
TikTok, which has more than 1 billion active users globally, considers the US as its biggest market.
The US regulators have recently been closely monitoring app developers over the way they handle personal data of users.
