Users can now report advertisements that could trick children into purchasing goods

TikTok agreed to comply with the European Union’s rules on advertising and consumer protection, the EU said on Tuesday.

According to the agreement between the video-sharing app and the EU, users can now report advertisements and offers that could potentially push or trick children into purchasing goods or services.

To avoid sanctions, TikTok also agreed that branded content will not be allowed to promote inappropriate products and services.
