Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE: TM) said it is recalling 2,700 of its first mass-produced electric vehicles (EVs) amid risks of wheel getting detached from the vehicle.

The recall involves Toyota’s bZ4X SUVs with maximum vehicles being recalled from Europe.

“After low-mileage use, all of the hub bolts on the wheel can loosen to the point where the wheel can detach from the vehicle. If a wheel detaches from the vehicle while driving, it could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash,” the company said in a statement.

Toyota added that until the remedy is available, customers will be provided a loaner vehicle free of charge.
