• Shares of the company fell 19%, hitting an all-time low
Just Eat Takeaway is not considering the sale of its Grubhub online food business, said the head of its US division.
At the Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum, Grubhub Chief Executive Adam DeWitt said on Tuesday the sale of Grubhub is not imminent and Just Eat, its parent company, is looking for partners to invest.
Shares in Just Eat Takeaway fell 19%, hitting an all-time low.
Just Eat on Wednesday said it is exploring options for Grubhub.
“Management is currently, together with its advisers, actively exploring the introduction of a strategic partnership and/or the sale of Grubhub, in whole or in part,” Just Eat said.
