The Kremlin said on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Iran next week.
Putin will attend a trilateral conference with the presidents of Iran and Turkey next Tuesday, using the so-called Astana format of meetings for Syria-related negotiations, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, AP reported.
According to Peskov, Putin will meet separately with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his visit to Tehran.
Earlier in March, Erdogan started negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegates in Istanbul, Turkey.
Kremlin spokesperson said that peace negotiations with Ukraine have stalled and that Kyiv is adamant about not continuing them.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the White House said Russia is looking to Iran for hundreds of drones, including those capable of carrying weapons, for use in Ukraine.
