Nikola Corp (NASDAQ: NKLA) topped Wall Street estimates on Thursday as it delivered 48 of its electric heavy trucks.
The company built 50 trucks, which were battery-electric versions of its Tre semi, during the second quarter, and delivered 48 of them before quarter-end.
In the quarter, the company posted revenue of $18.1 million, compared to expectations of $16.5 million, according to Refinitiv.
Shares of the company were up about 5% in premarket trading.
The company also reported a smaller-than-expected loss for the period as its adjusted loss per share was 25 cents, lower than estimates of 27 cent per-share loss.
