Dollar Tree Inc (NASDAQ: DLTR) shares fell on Thursday after the company cut its financial outlook for the year.
For its fiscal 2022, the company now expects earnings to be in the range of $7.10 to $7.40 per share, compared to prior forecast earnings of $7.80 to $8.20 per share.
Dollar Tree also lowered its net sales guidance for the year to a range of $27.85 billion and $28.10 billion, lower than the previous forecast of $27.76 billion to $28.14 billion.
This comes after the company posted earnings of $1.60 per share for the second quarter, a penny more than Wall Street expectations.
