Ethernet Alliance Lights Up ECOC 2022 With Cutting-Edge Interoperability Demonstration
BEAVERTON, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 13, 2022--
The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technologies, today unveiled details of its multivendor interoperability demonstration at the 2022 European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC). Scheduled for September 18 – 22, 2022 in Basel, Switzerland, the group’s display in booth 715 encompasses next-generation technologies from stakeholders across the entire Ethernet ecosystem.
Representing a diverse array of industry pacesetters, this year’s Ethernet Alliance ECOC interoperability demo is the centerpiece of its interactive exhibit. It features the latest in high-speed interconnect innovation, including optics with 400 Gigabits per second (Gb/s) and 800Gb/s overall interconnect capacity. Additionally, the display showcases state-of-the-art switches, routers, interconnects and cabling, and test and measurement solutions, all operating across a range of Ethernet speeds, from 25 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) to 400GbE. It also incorporates a simulation of high-speed, high density, real-world traffic, emphasizing Ethernet’s proven reliability and capacity for adapting to the rapidly evolving applications landscape.
“The Ethernet Alliance interoperability demonstration at ECOC 2022 further highlights the interdependencies of the Ethernet ecosystem and the need for heightened specification conformance from all its participants. With the advent of the IEEE Std 802.3ck™ 100Gb/s electrical specification, next generation Ethernet products for 100GbE, 200GbE, 400GbE, and 800GbE are becoming a reality for today’s applications and setting up the roadmap for future higher speed Ethernet,” said David J. Rodgers, events chair, Ethernet Alliance, and senior business development manager, EXFO. “Demonstrating interoperability between all components in the market continues to reinforce Ethernet’s inherent flexibility and shows why it persists as the foundation of networking globally.”
Among the Ethernet Alliance members participating in its ECOC interoperability demo are Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH ); EXFO.; Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC ); Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR ); TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL ); Tektronix, Inc.; and Teledyne LeCroy, Inc. (NYSE: TDY ).
