BELOIT, Wis., Nov. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Regal Rexnord Corporation (NYSE: RRX) today announced that it has received investment grade corporate ratings from Moody's and Fitch. Moody's assigned a first-time Long-Term Issuer Rating of Baa3 to Regal Rexnord Corporation with a stable outlook, and Fitch assigned a first-time Long-Term Issuer Default Rating of BBB- with a stable outlook. In addition, a BB+ Issuer Credit Rating with a stable outlook was assigned by S&P. The ratings are being issued in connection with Regal Rexnord's plans to seek financing for its acquisition of Altra Industrial Motion Corp. ("Altra"), which it announced last week.
In response to the news, CEO, Louis Pinkham commented, "The investment grade ratings from Moody's and Fitch provide third party validation of the strong credit profile created through the combination of Regal Rexnord and Altra. Underpinning this outcome is recognition by both agencies that the transaction with Altra is scale-enhancing, and increases both our end market diversification, and our exposure to secular growth end-markets, which makes our business more resilient. Additional drivers include substantial expected margin expansion, driven by significant cost synergies, and the two company's complementary cash flow profiles."
