BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) _ Surgery Partners Inc. (SGRY) on Tuesday reported a loss of $25 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Brentwood, Tennessee-based company said it had a loss of 28 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 2 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 4 cents per share.
The surgical facilities operator posted revenue of $620.6 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $623 million.
Surgery Partners expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.5 billion to $2.55 billion.
