HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Rite Aid Corp. (RAD) on Thursday reported a loss of $241.3 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of $4.39. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.24 per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 77 cents per share.
The drugstore chain posted revenue of $6.09 billion in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.7 billion.
