While Hollywood is celebrating the success of the simultaneous release of Barbie and Oppenheimer there are sections that were pushed to go the extra mile to keep the situation normal. Some employees of Alamo Drafhouse in Manhattan say 'Barbenheimer' was the breaking point.
It's true that the successful double header release did bring back confidence in the COVID-ravaged industry that people still craved good entertainment and were prepared to patronize cinema houses.
The Associated Press quoted a guest attendant saying that the day "really pushed us to the edge." Maggie Quick said: "IT was just the constant understaffing and the emotional exhaustion."
