BASSETT, Va. (AP) — BASSETT, Va. (AP) — Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. (BSET) on Thursday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $4.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Bassett, Virginia-based company said it had a loss of 47 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 15 cents per share.
The furniture seller posted revenue of $94.7 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $3.2 million, or 36 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $390.1 million.
Bassett shares have declined nearly 8% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 19% in the last 12 months.
