At the Ukrainian house in the Olympic village in Paris, joy goes hand in hand with sorrow. Athletes strive to enjoy the dream of competing at the world's most prestigious event, all while carrying the heavy burden of the ongoing war in their country. Ukrainian badminton player Polina Buhrova said that she experienced a mix of emotions while trying to enjoy her first Olympics and yet still hearing news about the fighting in her country.
