Merit Medical: Q2 Earnings Snapshot

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) — SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) — Merit Medical Systems Inc. (MMSI) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $35.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the South Jordan, Utah-based company said it had net income of 61 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 92 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 88 cents per share.
The maker of disposable medical devices posted revenue of $338 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $334.9 million.
