Greenwood, MS - 9/11/2024 - The John Richard Collection, LLC ("John Richard") is providing notice of a recent event that may impact the security of certain information. Although John Richard is unaware of any misuse of this information, they are providing information about the incident, steps taken since discovering the incident, and what an impacted individuals can do to better protect against potential misuse of personal information as a result of this incident, should they feel it is appropriate to do so.
On February 14, 2024, John Richard became aware of suspicious activity affecting systems within our network. John Richard promptly responded and launched an investigation to confirm the nature and scope of the incident and restore impacted computer systems to operability. Through the investigation, John Richard learned that an unauthorized actor accessed certain data between January 18, 2024 – February 14, 2024. Although John Richard has no evidence of any misuse or fraud in connection with this incident, John Richard is notifying those individuals whose information was potentially accessed in the system at the time of the incident. John Richard's review determined that the types of information related to potentially impacted individuals may have been present in one of the impacted systems included the following types of information: Social Security number, financial account information, payment card information, and passport number.

John Richard encourages potentially impacted individuals to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud, to review account statements, and to monitor their credit reports and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity. John Richard is providing potentially impacted individuals with contact information for the three major credit reporting agencies, as well as providing advice on how to obtain free credit reports and how to place fraud alerts and security freezes on their credit files.
