With a record-breaking $3.56 million raised, the 30th Annual One Mind Music Festival for Brain Health brought together leaders in science, philanthropy, and entertainment to celebrate three decades of mental health innovation. Presented by Bank of America and Bristol Myers Squibb, the festival on September 7 marked 30 years of groundbreaking mental health research, discovery, and innovation. More than 400 guests gathered for this event, which has become one of the most influential fundraisers dedicated to accelerating mental health solutions. Since its inception, One Mind has impacted the lives of more than 30 million people worldwide.
Proceeds from the event support One Mind™ and its mission to drive visionary change in brain health through programs such as the One Mind Rising Star Awards, the One Mind Accelerator, and One Mind at Work. This year’s festival offered an unparalleled experience, combining the cutting-edge Science & Innovation Symposium, with world-class wine tastings, exclusive culinary offerings, and a live performance by American singer-songwriter Elle King.
Governor Gavin Newsom congratulated the Staglin family on its three decades of advocacy and leadership in the mental health space.

Congressman Mike Thompson, a long-time supporter of One Mind, highlighted the essential role the Staglin family and One Mind have played in advancing mental health research.
“One Mind has raised millions of dollars, fueling research and innovation that touches people in every community across the country,” said Congressman Thompson. “ It’s so difficult to fund these types of research projects. It if weren’t for the Staglins and One Mind, we would be light-years behind. What they have done is nothing short of a miracle.”
In its 30-year history, One Mind has made significant contributions to scientific advancements, funding 48 pioneering scholars, supporting the launch of 21 mental health startups, and partnering with over 150 global companies to enhance workplace mental health. One Mind’s programs have driven real-world impact, advancing innovations that are helping to reshape the mental health landscape.
The festival began with the Science & Innovation Symposium, featuring One Mind’s 2024 Rising Star Awardees, entrepreneurs from the One Mind Accelerator, and One Mind at Work scientists . The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Susan Coller Monarez, Deputy Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, who is recognized as a global leader in health innovation. The event, made possible by Bank of America and Bristol Myers Squibb, brought together top scientists and thought leaders to explore the latest innovations in mental health.
