Delta Air Lines Likely to Report Increase in Revenue in Q4 2024 Earnings Report
Airline expected to show strong growth in earnings per share
Analysts estimate that Delta Air Lines (DAL) may record an increase in revenue in its Q4 2024 earnings report scheduled to be released Thursday (Jan 10).
Yahoo Finance reveals a consensus estimate of $14.6 billion in revenue for Q4, which ended on December 31, 2024. This marks 2.6 percent year-on-year growth, which some believe is remarkable after a July computer network outage that led to the canceling of nearly 7,000 flights.
The company’s earnings per share is expected to jump 35 percent year-on-year to $1.74.
Investopedia quotes Visible Alpha reporting “buy” rating for the stock among 13 analysts. The website estimates the revenue at $14.8 billion, up 4.6 percent from a year earlier. The report also projects the net income to decline to $1.12 billion from $2.04 billion in the same quarter of the previous year.
Buoyed by expectations of a strong showing, Delta stocks rose Wednesday to close at $61.40 after opening the day at $60.95.
