Irem Rami, Scott Mitchell, Chris Scullin, Connor Pike, Chris Sondej, and Suraj Shah Take New Leadership Roles on Growth Equity and Venture Investment Teams
MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Norwest, a global venture capital and growth equity investment firm, today announced six promotions across its investment team to deepen its partnerships with visionary entrepreneurs building the next generation of leading companies.
In their new roles, these leaders will continue to drive Norwest's diversified investment strategy across the enterprise, healthcare, and consumer sectors and deploy capital from the firm's latest $3 billion fund, NVP 17. Announced in 2024, this venture and growth equity fund enables the Norwest team to continue partnering with founders and management teams within a broad range of stages and sectors in North America, India, and Israel.

Promotions to Partner
Irem Rami will expand her leadership role on the Healthcare team and continue driving venture and growth equity investments in innovative companies across healthcare and life sciences software and services. Since joining the firm in 2022, Irem has established herself as a dedicated leader, tirelessly sourcing opportunities, cultivating relationships, and developing approaches for strategic investments, including Courier Health and Diana Health. She has also been actively involved with the firm's investments in Science Exchange, Clever Care Health Plan, and Monogram Health.
Scott Mitchell has been instrumental in sourcing new investment opportunities while introducing the firm to new industries and proprietary investments. Scott is an active investor in Aesthetic Partners, Babylist, Hatcheri Foods, MAËLYS, and MTN OPS. In his new role, he will continue to drive investments in the consumer product and services ecosystem on the Growth Equity team.
Chris Scullin steps up in his new leadership role on the firm's Growth Equity investment team, where he will continue prioritizing investments in software, tech services, healthcare technology, and data businesses. Since joining Norwest last year, Chris has quickly proven himself as a strategic and impactful leader, driving new investments in Envestnet and Zelis.
Promotions to Principal
Connor Pike joined the Growth Equity investment team in 2017 and concentrates on buyouts and minority investments in growth products and services companies. Connor focuses on sourcing and executing new investment opportunities across multi-unit, franchising, mobile service, and omnichannel retail business models. His portfolio includes Poolwerx, Vuori, SmartSign, Forum Brands, and JOLYN.
Chris Sondej joined Norwest in 2018 and focuses on buyout and growth equity investments in software, information services, and tech-enabled business services. His portfolio includes Supplier.io, SpryPoint, Cority and Banyan Software, and he has contributed to the success of alumni companies such as Galvanize and Junk King. He has also helped co-lead recent investments in World50 and Datacor.
Promotion to Vice President
Suraj Shah joined Norwest in 2021 and has helped expand the firm's healthcare investments across digital health, healthcare and life sciences software, medical devices, and diagnostics. His work in sourcing and due diligence has been crucial to key investments, including Courier Health, and he was closely involved in the recent acquisition of Vertos Medical by Stryker. He also supports the firm's investments in Clever Care Health Plan, Diana Health, Omada Health, Route 92 Medical, and SetPoint Medical.
