Montrose Selected By Energy Major to Deliver Methane Monitoring at Scale

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., April 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. (the "Company", "Montrose" or "MEG") (NYSE: MEG) is on a mission to help protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil that feeds us, and aims to enhance environmental stewardship and economic development. In response to rising global demand for energy and continued expectations around environmental stewardship, Montrose Environmental Group has been selected by a public multinational energy company to support their emissions monitoring needs. Montrose will deploy across multiple operating basins in three U.S. states. Valued at over $3 million in awarded work for 2025, the project underscores sustained demand from key Montrose clients.

"With energy security more critical than ever, this partnership proves that powering the world and protecting the planet are not mutually exclusive," said Vijay Manthripragada, President and CEO of Montrose Environmental Group. "Our field teams are deploying software, advanced optical gas imaging and engineering-driven inspection techniques to help clients minimize greenhouse gas emissions and reduce costs. Early results from these types of projects show an approximately 60% reduction in reported emissions compared to default EPA factors."

These efforts go beyond compliance. By generating site-specific emissions data, Montrose is helping the client optimize its regulatory reporting and align with global voluntary frameworks like OGMP 2.0. The result: more accurate emissions inventories that inform operational decision-making, reduce costs, improve employee safety, safeguard reputation, and accelerate progress toward the organization's broader goals.

With one of the largest air quality teams in North America, supported by leading software solutions, in-house regulatory experts and robust QA/QC protocols, Montrose continues to lead in delivering emissions solutions that serve both the planet and industry. Even in the face of U.S. regulatory uncertainty, we are partnering with leading energy companies to deliver operational insights, reduce emissions, and strengthen their market position.
