Warner Bros. Discovery Posts $453M Q1 Loss Amid Industry Headwinds
Warner Bros. Discovery reported a wider-than-expected loss of $453 million in Q1 2025, missing both earnings and revenue estimates.
NEW YORK (AP) — NEW YORK (AP) — Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (WBD) on Thursday reported a loss of $453 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 12 cents per share.
The operator of cable TV channels such as TLC and Animal Planet posted revenue of $8.98 billion in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.69 billion.
