Overview
Edward H. West is Chief Executive Officer and a Director at Cardtronics plc, Inc.(CATM). With principal executive offices in Houston, Cardtronics is the world’s largest ATM owner / operator, providing services to ATMs in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
Following a 25-year career in senior executive roles at a number of large public and private corporations, from an early stage technology firm to a Fortune 100 company, and with experience in the financial services, education, technology and business services and aviation industries – West joined Cardtronics in 2016 and was serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer when appointed by the Board of Directors to become the company’s Chief Executive Officer in 2018.
Prior to joining Cardtronics, West held the role of Chief Financial Officer at three companies: Delta Air Lines, Internet Capital Group and Education Management Corporation. West joined Education Management in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and became Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Earlier in his career, West joined Internet Capital Group, a technology holding company, as Chief Financial Officer in 2000; in 2002, West transitioned to Internet Capital Group’s largest subsidiary, ICG Commerce, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until 2006. West also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Delta Air Lines, after having joined the company in 1994.
West holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University's Goizueta School of Business. West received the “CFO of the Year” award from Institutional Investor Magazine in 2012 and was previously named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by CFO Magazine.
