Lori J. Ryerkerk

Lori Ryerkerk is a technocrat, who serves as the CEO of Celanese Corporation since 2019, and has served in large international corporations. Celanese is a global chemical and specialty materials company and a leading producer of high-performance engineered polymers that are used in a variety of high-value applications.

Lori has held a variety of senior leadership roles at petrochemicals and refining businesses in the United States, Europe, and Asia. She served as the Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing at Royal Dutch Shell and in leadership roles at Exxon Mobil.

Ryerkerk from Beaumont, Texas, is a graduate of Iowa State University, where she completed her Chemical Engineering degree. She has been appointed to the American Chemistry Council (ACC) board of directors and will begin her term on January 1, 2020. Lori also actively supports a variety of organizations in her hometown of Beaumont, Texas.
