Overview
Nikishka Iyengar is the CEO of The Guild.
Nikishka is a social entrepreneur and sustainability strategist whose work sits at the intersection of finance, equitable development, climate action and racial justice. She has a diverse background spanning community organizing, economic development, and consulting with Fortune 500 companies.
As the Founder & CEO of The Guild, she works to build community wealth through equitable real estate and entrepreneurship programs. The Guild is currently launching Atlanta’s first community owned and community-governed mixed-use development. Nikishka is also a writer and podcast host covering economic justice issues. Her podcast Road to Repair focuses on moving beyond “business as usual” towards an economy that facilitates our collective liberation. Nikishka currently serves on the Community Advisory Board of Olamina Fund, a $40M fund to close the racial wealth gap. She previously served on the taskforce for Atlanta’s first Guaranteed Income pilot.
Nikishka is an Aspen Institute, RSF Social Finance, Common Future and New Leaders Council Fellow. She was recognized by GreenBiz as a "30 under 30" leader in sustainability in 2016 and to date, has helped companies unlock ~$1B worth of value from sustainable business opportunities. In 2019, Nikishka was honored by the Grammy nominated Janelle Monae as one of three top changemakers in Atlanta.
