Overview
Bryan Hanson is the chairman, CEO and President of Zimmer Biomet (ZBH). He is also a member of the board of directors of the company since 2017. Warsaw, Indiana-based Zimmer Biomet is a global player in musculoskeletal healthcare, designing, manufacturing and marketing orthopedic reconstructive products and sports medicine, biologics, extremities and trauma products.
Hanson earlier served as a member of Medtronic’s Executive Committee and as Executive Vice President and Group President, Minimally Invasive Therapies Group of Medtronic.
Prior to Medtronic, Hanson served as Group President, Covidien, with global responsibility for Covidien business segments.
Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University. He also did the Kellogg School of Management Finance for Executives program in 2010 and the Harvard Executive Education in Leadership program in 2013.
Other Activites
Hanson serves on the board of directors of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. as a member of the compensation and leadership performance committee, as well as the finance and technology committee. He also serves on the board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), and is a member of its International Board Committee and chairs the China subcommittee. Hanson serves as a director emeritus of the Americares board of directors, an emergency response and global health organization committed to saving lives and building healthier futures for people in crisis.
