Chairman and CEO, Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.
Brian R. Niccol is the chairman and chief executive officer of Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc (CMG). He was holding the post of director since March 2018 and assumed the role of chairman in March 2020.
From 2015 to early 2018 Niccol served as Chief Executive Officer of Taco Bell, a division of Yum! Brands, Inc., a global restaurant company. He joined Taco Bell in 2011 as Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer and served as President from 2013 to 2014.
Earlier, he served from 2005 to 2011 in various executive positions at Pizza Hut, another division of Yum! Brands, including General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer.
Niccol's stint outside Yum! Brands, principally, was for ten years at Procter & Gamble Co.
Niccol holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Other Activites
Niccol also serves on the board of directors of KB Home and Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, Chipotle’s nonprofit organization. He previously served on the board of Harley-Davidson.
