Jennifer Johnson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Resources (BEN), the holding company of Franklin Templeton. She has been with Franklin Resources for over 30 years and has guided its transformation to a respected global firm operating in the fields of investment management, technology, innovation, diversity and corporate and social responsibility.
Johnson joined the firm in 1988 and held leadership roles in major divisions of the business before taking over as CEO in February 2020.
To her credit is the acquisition of Legg Mason in 2020, with the combined organization managing over $1.5 trillion in global assets.
Johnson earned her B.A. in economics from the University of California at Davis.

Johnson serves on several boards associated with investment management. She serves on the International Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and is a member of the NYSE Board Advisory Council. She is also a member of the board of directors of Catalyst and serves on the advisory board of Black Capital and Democracy Investments.
She is a member of the advisory board of The Creative Coalition, and a board member of the JMT Wilderness Conservancy and the Carolands Foundation.
