Overview
John S. Weinberg is Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Evercore, Inc.(EVR) Previously he was Co-Chairman of the Board and Co-CEO, positions he held since July 2020. Prior to that, he was Evercore’s Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman.
Prior to joining the firm in November 2016, Mr. Weinberg served as vice chairman of Goldman Sachs from 2006 to 2015 and as co-head of global investment banking from 2002 until 2015. He started at Goldman Sachs in 1983 as an associate and was promoted to partner in 1992.
Weinberg is a board member of Ford Motor Co., New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Middlebury College.
He earned a B.A. from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
