Paul Donahue has served as Chief Executive Officer of Genuine Parts Company(GPC). 

Paul D. Donahue holds the position of Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Genuine Parts Co. He is also on the board of Truist Bank, Truist, Inc., Motion Asia Pacific Pty Ltd. and Truist Financial Corp. In the past he held the position of President-Sanford North America Division at Newell Brands, Inc. and President & Chief Operating Officer of S.P. Richards Co.

since 2016 and was named Chairman in 2019. He has held several key management positions in his 20 years with GPC, including executive leadership roles at S.P. Richards Company, GPC’s business products group, and the U.S. Automotive Parts Group.

He is an active supporter of The United Way and the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of Truist Bank’s Board of Directors, the Shepherd Center Foundation Board of Trustees, the Carlyle Fraser Heart Center Advisory Committee and the Carter Center Board of Councilors. Mr. Donahue serves as chair of the Metro Atlanta Chamber (2023).
