Apple employees at the iPhone manufacturer's high-profile Grand Central Terminal store want workers to be paid at least $30 per hour.

The group which had started working towards unionizing earlier this year stated their request on the website of their group Fruit Stand Workers United on Monday

The group launched its website over the weekend. They wrote, “For pay, we seek a minimum of $30 for all workers, built upon a matrix based on role, tenure, and performance.”

On Saturday, The Washington Post reported that the market and experience determined the salary of Apple employees. It could vary from $17 to more than $30 per hour, depending on the two factors.
