• Approximately 20 Russian Navy vessels are currently in the Black Sea operational zone
The British defense ministry warns that, despite losses, Russia's fleet remains a threat to Ukraine in the Black Sea.
Approximately 20 Russian Navy vessels are currently in the Black Sea operational zone, including submarines, MoD said in its intelligence report.
“Despite the embarrassing losses of the landing ship Saratov and cruiser Moskva, Russia’s Black Sea Fleet retains the ability to strike Ukrainian and coastal targets,” Britain said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Russia is unable to replace its lost cruiser Moskva in the Black Sea since the Bosporus Strait remains blocked to all non-Turkish warships.
Since the start of the war, Russian ships in the Black Sea have been blasting cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities.
