President Zelenskyy says Russian bombardment of Severodonetsk is ‘just madness’
- Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Kurakhove are currently at the epicenter of the confrontation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reaffirmed Russia's bombardment of Severodonetsk is "madness" due to the presence of a large-scale chemical facility in the city.
“Given the presence of large-scale chemical production in Severodonetsk, the Russian army’s strikes there, including blind air bombing, are just madness,” Zelenskyy said in his nighttime address.
The situation in the Donbas remained "very difficult," according to Zelenskyy.
Ukraine’s leader said the cities of Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Kurakhove, are currently the focus of the conflict.
“But on the 97th day of such a war, it is no longer surprising that for the Russian military, for Russian commanders, for Russian soldiers, any madness is absolutely acceptable,” Zelenskyy said.
Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are rebuffing the invaders' pressure, with Hulyaipole and Orikhiv being the main targets.
