• Stay order appeal filed less than a day after FDA told Juul to pull off its vaping products from market
• Juul called the FDA’s decision “arbitrary and capricious” and claimed it faced unfair treatment
Juul Labs Inc on Friday asked a federal appeals court to block the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision to ban its e-cigarette products from the market.
The company asked the US Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington for an emergency stay order, saying, “FDA’s extraordinary and unlawful action, which demands that JLI immediately halt essentially all of its business operations, warrants the emergency interim relief requested.”
