Around $100 million in cryptocurrency were stolen from the blockchain bridge Horizon, said the developers behind the start-up.

Blockchain bridge developer Harmony said in a tweet that it is working alongside the FBI and multiple cyber security firms, regarding the crypto theft.

“The Harmony team has identified a theft occurring this morning on the Horizon bridge amounting to approx. $100MM,” Harmony tweeted.

“We have begun working with national authorities and forensic specialists to identify the culprit and retrieve the stolen funds.”

Blockchain bridges offer users a way of transferring their assets from one blockchain to another. Horizon allows users to send tokens from the Ethereum network to Binance Smart Chain.
