The Spanish renowned chef and restaurateur Jose Andres, and his group prepares around 9,000 meal packages every day in the Ukrainian city of Odesa.
“9,000 @WCKitchen food kits packed every day from these #FoodFighters in Odesa!” Andres said in a tweet.
“🙏🇺🇦 Most people on this team are refugees from eastern cities and they come every day to help fellow Ukrainians..all across,” he said.
He went on to say that the World Central Kitchen supplies 40,000 kits to Ukraine every day.
Andrés organized a team of chefs through World Central Kitchen, which he started in 2010, to deliver warm and nutritious meals to refugees as well as individuals sheltering in bunkers and subways.
